Career Services

New Vision University aims to foster creativity, intellectual inquiry and positive social change. Within this framework, our purpose is to educate, support, engage and inspire students in their career development. We do this through innovative educational programs, teaching methodologies and opportunities to network.

Career Choices:

Students of New Vision University are given an opportunity to find fulfilling careers in various sectors. NVU academic degrees with emphasis on “self-generated profile”, prepare students to succeed in many professions, rather than limiting themselves to narrow expertise. At graduation, every student has a professional portfolio and highly developed analytical and managerial skills in his or her field of study and wide-range of choices in their careers. NVU students seeking professional career advancement or a career change from one sector to another often find new positions during their course of study thanks to the credibility they gain as enrolled in postgraduate programs.

Some of the career choices available at the NVU cover public, nonprofit, and private sectors at local, national and international levels in different fields including: health care, nonprofit organizations, banking, international development, management, community-based economic development, child welfare, education and public advocacy.

Career Development Support

The NVU Office of Career Development offers extensive services for students and alumni, including help with career planning and decision making, networking, and employment opportunity referrals. All students are strongly encouraged to meet with our career development staff during their first year of study and get support in finding and obtaining internships and part-time and full-time permanent positions while they are in school. Students and alumni can make appointments for individual advisement on a range of topics, including career assessments and exploration, evaluating professional goals, job and internship search strategies, help in crafting targeted, accomplishment-based resumes, as well as writing effective letters of inquiry, cover letters, and follow-up communications, and help in preparing for job interviews and salary negotiations. Alumni is further supported through the Alumni Development Program that provides personal and career development counseling.

As well as individual advisement, New Vision University regularly conducts experiential workshops and events at which job seekers can connect with professionals in the field and prospective employers.

The NVU Office of Career Development is open during weekdays. Feel free to call or email our office if you have any questions.
