NVU aims to expand human vision through promotion of education, research and innovation. The University inspires individuals to advance and share knowledge, skills and values to contribute to the well-being of society. NVU aspires to create an open, innovative and collaborative environment, to ensure student engagement and to serve the society on a national and international scale. NVU’s Strategic Plan 2017-2024

The University fully acknowledges its unique identity in the community. It offers a merge of regional and western educational scientific expertise to remain closely in touch with the labor market priorities nationally and internationally. NVU aims to provide integrated and multidisciplinary educational programs with special emphasis on General Skills modules, leadership and shared values. 

The Plan outlines long-term and short-term goals of the university. The document puts forth the primary goal of NVU “to support expansion of human vision through promotion of education, research and innovation.”

Summary

  

 

Southampton where, as an MRC Training Fellow, he did his PhD under Professor Sir George Alberti.  His work at that time investigated metabolic disturbances in liver disease and metabolic aspects of endocrinology. He moved to Newcastle where he was First Assistant to Professor Reg Hall.  He subsequently obtained a Wellcome Senior Clinical Research Fellowship, investigating metabolism in diabetes.
