Levan Meskhoradze is graduate of the Faculty of Law at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and the Executive Management Program of the George Mason University. He holds Masters of International Public Law and European Law from Riga School of Law. Since 2007 he lectures in International Public and Human Rights Law.

Levan Meskhoradze has extensive experience of working in the area of international public law and human rights, as well as criminal justice reform and program management. Since 2016 he leads the EU funded program on “Fight Against All Forms of Discrimination.” During 2008-2016 he headed the Department of State Representation to the International Human Rights Courts, Ministry of Justice of Georgia. He also represented Georgia at the Human Rights Court in Strasbourg and in front of the UN Treaty Bodies. He contributed to the consideration of the number of important cases in the European Court of Justice, including Georgia v. Russia I (so-called “Deportation Case”) and Georgia v. Russia II (the so-called “August War”).

Mr.Meskhoradze is the member of one of the ODIHR/OSCE committee and working group operating under the CoE/HELP Program. He consults CoE and EU on national and international levels. He also serves as an expert on human rights law and criminal justice reform for the East-West Management Institute’s Rule of Law Support Program, the High School of Justice, Training Centers of the Office of the Public Prosecutor and Bar Association in Georgia. He has been regularly involved in training of judges, prosecutors and lawyers.

Since 2007, Levan Meskhoradze has been lecturing at various universities and law schools in Georgia. He is the author of several scientific publications and papers.
