JEAN MONNET MODULE "EUROPEAN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE"

On December 6th, NVU hosted the kick-off event of the Jean Monnet Module "European Corporate Governance and Compliance". Head of the Academic Board of New Vision University David Kereselidze, Dean of the School of Law Gaga Gabrichidze, Leader of the Project Thomas Kruessmann, Deputy CEO of European Business Association Mariam Khuchuloria contributed to the discussion.

Funded through the EU ERASMUS+ Programme, the Project offers a unique environment where key stakeholders as business representatives, corporate practitioners, students, members of academia would have an opportunity to discuss and elaborate solutions for enhancing responsible business conduct, corporate sustainability, risk management and compliance. The kick-off event was held in collaboration with the European Business Association (EBA) and the United Nations Global Compact Network Georgia.

Southampton where, as an MRC Training Fellow, he did his PhD under Professor Sir George Alberti.  His work at that time investigated metabolic disturbances in liver disease and metabolic aspects of endocrinology. He moved to Newcastle where he was First Assistant to Professor Reg Hall.  He subsequently obtained a Wellcome Senior Clinical Research Fellowship, investigating metabolism in diabetes.
